The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported on trees planted on World Earth Day. More than 5 million trees were planted in the world on April 22, and Ukraine became a record holder.

110 countries took part in the action to plant greenery on the planet. More than 2 million people were involved worldwide, and 559,044 people from Ukraine took part. A total of 184 species of trees were planted in the world – more than 5.5 million seedlings, while in Ukraine more than 4 million trees were planted.
In addition to Ukraine, Canada, Great Britain, Belarus, Turkey, Moldova, Poland, Indonesia, Tunisia, Montenegro, Kuwait, and Singapore took part in the green action.
