On June 5, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky invited journalists on the eve of their professional holiday to a picnic with barbecue. He announced this on Instagram.

“This time – a shish kebab cooked with my own hands. Excellent weather and, as always, a friendly atmosphere. Conversation without taboos, sharp questions, and my honest answers,” the president said.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak. Zelensky and Yermak are stringing meat on skewers in photos posted on social networks.
On June 6, the president posted photos from the picnic on Instagram and congratulated the journalists.
“I am always open to journalists’ questions. I am convinced that honest dialogue is the main sign of a democratic state. Ukrainian journalists are curious, talented, attentive, and principled. We are ready to take risks for the sake of the truth,” the head of state wrote.

Zelenskiy also posted photos and a cheerleader on Twitter. According to the president, Ukrainian journalists want to change.
“And the main dream that unites both journalists and the president is to make Ukraine better. Let it come true!” He said.
Sevgil Musayeva, editor-in-chief of Ukrainska Pravda, Alesya Batsman, editor-in-chief of the GORDON publication, Savik Shuster, journalist and TV presenter, and others were invited to a picnic with the president.
