The wind speed is over 190 km / h and the wave height reaches 15 meters. Such conditions take place inside the powerful hurricane “Sam”, which is raging in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Specialists from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration managed to capture the natural disaster on video.

The intensity of Hurricane “Sam” is estimated at four points out of five possible. A special Saildrone Explorer SD 1045 unmanned aerial vehicle was used to capture the natural conditions inside. The drone recorded the wind and waves, which made visibility minimal.
There are currently five Saildrone Explorer SD 1045 drones in operation in the Atlantic Ocean. Such UAVs are also used to warn coastal residents of impending bad weather.
