According to him, while viewing the stories, a “like” icon will appear on the bottom panel, where the message input field is located. The author of the story will receive a message about the like, but there will be no chat in the personal messages.
Mosseri said the new feature would avoid cluttering personal messages with unnecessary chats. Only the author of the story will know who liked his “story”. To do this, he will need to go to the section where the views will be displayed.
The new feature has been launched gradually and will soon be available to all users.
