The All-Ukrainian Ecological League has stated that without the launch of the Deepwater Release, a man-made catastrophe awaits the Odessa region, as a number of important infrastructure and industrial facilities are at risk of flooding.

According to law enforcement officers, Tarpan’s companies misappropriated hundreds of millions of hryvnias by inflating prices and volumes of work. He himself received the status of the main suspect and fled Ukraine. Tarpan was later put on the all-Ukrainian wanted list. And at the end of last year – on the international wanted list.
The court has so far remanded Tarpan in custody in absentia, and after the extradition of the suspect (according to the investigation, he may be hiding in the UAE or Bulgaria), he faces up to 12 years in prison.
