The Foreign Minister noted that the resumption of the embassy in Kyiv is an important step to maintain close relations with Ukraine, as well as to provide humanitarian and military assistance to the country. He noted that the Netherlands will join forces with other countries that have already returned embassy staff to Kyiv.

Shortly before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Dutch embassy was relocated to Lviv. As it was noted, a small part of the staff may return to the capital now.
