On Wednesday, May 4, the Belarusian Defense Ministry announced a surprise inspection of the response forces. Its purpose is to assess the readiness and ability of personnel to respond quickly to possible crises.
The country’s Defense Ministry claims that these measures do not pose “any threat to the European community as a whole or to neighboring countries in particular.”
The exercises will last at least until May 14, according to the schedule of exercises at the Belarusian training grounds.
