Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – July 2, 2022- Russian media reported that the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, arrived in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, and Gerasimov allegedly examined groups of Russian forces participating in the war.
Gerasimov examined groups of Russian forces participating in a “special military operation” in Ukraine.
Russian media have published footage of Gerasimov at the command center, which Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu allegedly visited last week.
But it is not known for certain whether Gerasimov actually crossed the Ukrainian border.
According to the British Ministry of Defense, on June 26, Russian General Sergei Shoigu arrived in Ukraine and inspected the group of Russian forces participating in the war, and Shoigu allegedly listened in command posts to the reports of commanders on the current situation and actions of the Russian Armed Forces in the main areas of operation.
