As a result of the full-scale invasion, the Russian military killed at least 373 children in Ukraine. This was announced in Telegram by the Prosecutor General’s Office .

“As of the morning of August 21, 2022, more than 1094 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to official information of juvenile prosecutors, 373 children were killed and more than 721 were injured of varying severity,” the statement said.

During the recording of war crimes committed by the occupiers in Mariupol, Donetsk region, it became known about the deaths of another 10 children aged 1 to 17 years.
Also on August 20, as a result of the enemy’s shelling of the residential infrastructure of the city of Voznesensk, Mykolaiv region, three children aged 3 to 8 years were seriously injured.
Children suffered the most in Donetsk region – 387, Kharkiv – 202, Kiev – 116, Chernihiv – 68, Nikolaev – 64, Luhansk – 61, Kherson – 55, Zaporozhye – 41.
As noted, these figures are not sufficient, as work is underway to identify the victims and dead in places of active hostilities, as well as in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
