The Cabinet of Ministers has increased responsibility for children during the evacuation – parents who refused mandatory evacuation may be deprived of parental rights. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration .

“Families, as well as foster caregivers and orphanages raising foster orphans or those deprived of parental care, may lose the right to take care of them if they put their pupils at great risk and refuse mandatory evacuation,” the statement said.

The relevant resolution submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Ministry of Social Policy was adopted today by the government at its meeting. The initiator of the document was the Ministry of Reintegration.
As noted, children will be transferred to more responsible caregivers – already in safe regions where they are evacuated.
Institutions or educators will be determined by the National Social Service – on the basis of information from local state administrations, local governments on the presence of foster families in the above-mentioned areas, family-type orphanages, families of foster caregivers, institutions in which children are supposed to stay around the clock.

Now the mandatory evacuation from the Donetsk region is underway. Since August 2, about 10 thousand civilians have already left for safe regions. The evacuation coordination headquarters is headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk.
