As noted in the Prosecutor General’s Office, within the framework of the criminal proceedings, a comprehensive forensic examination of weapons, traces and circumstances of their use, as well as explosive and fire-technical examinations, is ongoing.
Pretrial investigation in criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder) is carried out by investigators of the main investigative department of the Security Service of Ukraine under the supervision of prosecutors of the OGPU.
As noted by the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor countries, Russia agreed to invite experts from the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross to the colony. But later it became known that the Russian occupiers did not allow ICRC representatives to visit the prisoners of war in Olenivka.
The spokesman of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Oleksandr Vlasenko, in a comment to Suspilnyi, noted that ICRC employees were twice in Olenivka after the prisoners of war were transferred there: “literally 2-3 days after their transportation.” However, they did not have the opportunity to communicate with them face to face. At the same time, the ICRC is trying to gain access to the prisoners who are still being held there, as well as to the bodies of their fallen comrades.
