German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbok is critical of Ukraine’s application to NATO.

“We are doing everything to ensure that other countries and NATO are not involved in this war,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on Berbok’s statement on the ARD Brennpunkt program.
At the same time, the Foreign Minister condemned the annexation of Ukrainian territories announced by Vladimir Putin.
“It’s about seizing land with the most brutal violence, using methods you can’t imagine. Virtually no country in the world can agree with this,” she said.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday that Ukraine was applying “under an accelerated procedure” for membership in the defense alliance.
The United States and Canada on Friday also expressed support for Ukraine’s membership in NATO. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania also “fully support Ukraine’s early admission to NATO.”
