The Security Service of Ukraine reported on a new atrocity of the occupiers in the Kharkiv region – the Rashists shot a convoy of civilians, at least 20 people were killed, and among them – 10 children .
Thus, the SBU is investigating another war crime of Russian troops who recently shot a civilian column in the so-called “gray zone” between the occupied Svatov, Luhansk region, and the liberated Kupyansk in kharkiv region.

“At the end of September, the Rashists completely destroyed a convoy of seven cars. At least 20 people died, including 10 children. The brutal attack on civilians was carried out by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the occupiers – they shot six old cars and one Gazelle truck almost closely with small arms. The enemy has once again proved that its goal is the destruction of all Ukrainians, regardless of age and gender. The invaders suffer defeats on the battlefield and respond to them from hopelessness by killing civilians. But the Rashists will not avoid punishment – we will find everyone and make them responsible for the atrocities committed,” said Acting Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk.

SSU officers, under the supervision of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, are investigating this war crime under Part 2 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The final number of victims is currently being established, and appropriate examinations are being carried out. Several people managed to escape from hell, now they are testifying to investigators.
Currently, the identities of citizens killed by Russians are being established, comprehensive documentation and collection of evidence of this crime for the International Criminal Court is underway.
“The SBU is also doing everything possible to identify those involved in the killing of civilians. Such crimes have no statute of limitations, the perpetrators will definitely be responsible for what they have done,” the SBU stressed.
