Radio Liberty reports that Roskomnadzor has blocked the site of the audio streaming platform SoundCloud, however, the service’s mobile application is still working.

The site was blocked at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of September 22. What was the reason for the blocking is unknown.
In March, music streaming service Spotify decided to leave the Russian market due to the law on fakes.

“Unfortunately, the recently adopted law imposes additional restrictions on access to information, eliminates freedom of expression and criminalizes certain types of news. This jeopardizes the safety of our employees and, possibly, our listeners,” the company said.
