In Zaporizhia, another dead person was taken out from under the rubble of a multi-storey building, the entrance of which was destroyed by a Russian missile on October 9. This was announced by the secretary of the Zaporizhia City Council Anatoly Kurtev .

“In the high-rise building, the approach of which was destroyed by an enemy missile on October 9, search and emergency work continues. Unfortunately, at this time, another deceased has been found under the rubble,” Kurtev wrote.

According to him, more than thirty residents of this house now temporarily live in one of the city’s TIC. People there are provided with food. Also, residents of two entrances, with the permission of specialists, were able to enter their apartments and pick up their personal belongings.
“To prevent further destruction of the house, structures are being strengthened. Props are being installed using round timber provided by Metinvest,” Kurtev said.
He noted that a total of 60 people and 14 units of equipment of the State Emergency Service and the communal enterprise “ELUASH” were involved in search and emergency work.
“Emergency rescue operations with the involvement of specialists of the city specialized emergency and rescue service and volunteers, as well as the removal of construction waste are planned for tomorrow,” Kurtev said.

On October 12, it was reported that in Zaporizhia, rescuers took out from under the rubble of a house, the entrance of which was destroyed on October 9, another dead person.
Kurtev previously reported that 16 people were killed and almost a hundred were injured as a result of the occupiers’ strikes on residential areas of Zaporizhzhia on October 9 and 10.
