Zaporizhzhia NPP has sufficient reserves of fresh nuclear fuel and will not need Russian fuel. This was stated by the President of the State Enterprise “NNEGC “Energoatom” Peter Kotin in an interview with Reuters, commenting on the recent statements of Russians .

“There are a lot of rumors and fake statements from Russians. All these are fakes. And in fact, it is not easy to transfer the fuel load of ZNPP reactors from one supplier to another,” said Kotin, quoted by the press service of Energoatom.

Russian invaders are spreading false information about the transfer of ZNPP to Russian fuel after the reserves are exhausted.
“Only in order to prepare for the transition from one supplier to another, it takes about three years,” the head of Energoatom explained.
He noted that the most dangerous situation for the station now is the shutdown of the external power required to cool the reactors and the loss of emergency diesel generators, which have fuel reserves for only 10 days.
“This is just an unprecedented situation for… the largest nuclear power plant in Europe,” Kotin added.
