“Russian troops will continue their terror and strikes on energy facilities. In response, we will continue our thorough preparation for the heating season. We accumulate resources. We form reserves. Now the housing stock, hospitals, schools in non-front-line communities are almost 100% ready for the heating season,” Shmyhal stressed.
Details
According to the Prime Minister, last day during the evening peak, the level of electricity consumption in Kyiv decreased by 10% compared to the previous day, in the entire central region — by 8%.
However, in Ukraine as a whole, the level of consumption during the evening peak yesterday increased by 1.8%. The growth was due to the western and northern regions of Ukraine.
“Therefore, I want to emphasize once again: maximum energy savings are what we ask every Ukrainian to do. This is especially true of the evening hours. From 17:00 to 23:00 do not use washing machines, boilers, air conditioners, heaters. Limit the use of electric kettles and electric stoves. Turn off the lights in rooms where you are not located. Transfer repair work to daytime. I turn to business: turn off signs and unnecessary lighting. Every kilowatt of energy that you do not use will give additional stability to our energy system,” the Prime Minister urged Ukrainians.
Shmyhal also noted that the responsible agencies have now developed a detailed complex of economical electricity consumption by the population and enterprises under martial law, in particular during the period of maximum load during peak hours. This set of measures will allow pragmatically and effectively applying restrictions if necessary.
Supplement
