“There is international assistance, it is provided. Ukraine can import electricity from the EU. Currently, there is no such need to import electricity, we have not asked for it. If Ukrainians save as efficiently as our air defense works, then we will be able to avoid forced outages,” he said.

He stressed that the Russian attacks on Ukraine since the Second World War are the largest infrastructural attack, since there was no such infrastructure at that time.
Kharchenko stressed that this is a terrorist act planned by Russian power engineers.
“Russia’s strikes on the Ukrainian energy system are a terrorist act planned by Russian energy workers that aims to destroy our energy system. To achieve a complete power outage in our country… This forces us for the first time in human history to understand where the edge of strength is. Until we found it,” he said.

As a result of enemy strikes, almost 40% of Ukraine’s total infrastructure suffered serious damage.
Ukrenergo warned that today temporary restrictions on energy consumption are again possible throughout Ukraine.
