As noted, Ukraine purchased about 1,400 Fly Eye drones, which are used for reconnaissance. According to Fedorov, the next stage after equipping reconnaissance drones will be the development of attack UAVs.
“And the next stage, when we are more or less equipped with reconnaissance drones, is strike drones,” Fedorov said. “These are both exploding drones and drones that fly at a distance of three to ten kilometers and hit targets.”
The minister notes that the situation with drones “will drastically change in February-March.” In addition, Ukraine plans to increase “the number of missions with strike drones.”
“We are talking about drones, UAVs, UAVs that we are developing in Ukraine. Well, in any case, this will be the next step in the development of technologies,” he said.
“I can already say that the situation with drones will radically change in February or March,” he said.
Fedorov added that his team now devotes 70% of its time to military technology, and providing the army with drones is one of its main tasks.
