In Kherson, they detained a collaborator who guarded the administrative buildings of the Rashists during the occupation of the city.

“The security service exposed another enemy accomplice as a result of stabilization measures in liberated Kherson. The perpetrator is a resident of the regional center who, during the capture of the city, supported the Russian invaders and offered them his help in the war against Ukraine,” the message reads.

It is reported that for this he was offered a “position” in the “department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kherson” created by the aggressor.
“There he voluntarily agreed to join the “separate battalion of the patrol and post service” of the Russian Federation. After his appointment, he received a Russian-style weapon and uniform from the enemy. Among the main tasks of the collaborator was the protection of the captured administrative buildings, in which the Rashists had installed local occupation authorities,” the SBU informs.
The SBU notes that he also took part in punitive raids against members of the resistance movement.
“During such “raids”, he illegally detained Ukrainian patriots and transported them to Russian torture camps. After the liberation of Kherson, the perpetrator wanted to “get lost” in the city and thus avoid justice. However, SBU officers still exposed him and detained him. “Certificates” of a fake body and other evidence of criminal activity were found in the collaborator’s possession,” the report says.
On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the defendant of suspicion under Part 7 of Art. 111-1 (voluntary occupation by a citizen of Ukraine of a position in illegal law enforcement bodies created in the temporarily occupied territory) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In addition, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
