The former director of Roscosmos, the Russian propagandist Dmytro Rogozin sent the French ambassador to the Russian Federation, Pierre Levy, a fragment of the used Caesar howitzer that wounded him in the war in Ukraine, and a letter in which he criticizes the West’s provision of military support to Kyiv.

“In this envelope, along with my letter, you see a fragment from a shell fired by a French 155 mm Caesar self-propelled gun. It pierced my right shoulder and lodged in the fifth cervical vertebra, just a millimeter from killing me or immobilizing me disabled,” Rogozin wrote.

The letter and the fragment were handed over to the security of the French ambassador’s residence in Moscow on Wednesday, January 4. In the letter, Rogozin mentioned joint trips with Pierre Levy to the Borodino Field and Baikonur, where they “often discussed the prospects of Russian-French political and economic cooperation.” The propagandist criticized the increase in military aid to Ukraine to defend against Russian aggression, adding that he was handing over the wreckage so that the ambassador would understand “the extent of his personal responsibility for these murders.”
Rogozin also asked Pierre Levy to hand over the recovered fragment to French President Emmanuel Macron.
The next day, it was noted that Rogozin, who was wounded in Donetsk as a result of a rocket attack, will be transported to Moscow for treatment.
