Agriculture is one of the leading industries in the Ternopil region. Land development, cultivation of cereals, legumes, vegetables, berries, and other crops, development of horticulture and farms cause a constant demand for agricultural workers.

In total, this year 25% of vacancies submitted by employers to the employment service of the region were offered in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.
The season of agricultural work begins, so as of March 31, 2021, agricultural companies of the region are looking for employees for 149 vacancies. They need tractor-drivers of agricultural production (74 vacancies), agronomists (23), drivers of vehicles (16 vacancies), as well as pig farmers, cleaning equipment operators, mechanics-repairmen, excavator drivers, technologists, chemical solution preparation technicians, mechanics, accountants, warehouse managers, assistants, cooks, and others.
Depending on the responsibilities and qualifications of their employees, employers are willing to pay up to 20 thousand UAH.
