President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Western Christians on Easter on his Facebook page.

“Today, the faithful of the Western rite celebrate Easter. This holiday symbolizes the establishment of life, which is the greatest value for every civilized society. It is an occasion to spend time with family and share positive emotions that help us overcome various life challenges. And they are enough,” – wrote Zelensky.
Zelensky stressed that “the pandemic, which has been affecting our lives for more than a year by restrictions, from which we cannot escape, is still a challenge for all of us.”
“This is the second Easter that we must spend at home and for the sake of our own health and the health of our relatives to watch services on television and social networks, and not to attend church. Remember: prayer is strong at home. It is a time to stop for a moment and remember the importance of communication and mutual support. And also – understanding between people, respect and acceptance of the new, challenges and otherness, “said President Zelensky.
Today, April 4, all Catholics, Protestants, and Armenians celebrate Easter.
