The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov announced that in Ukraine, there have already been 1.784 million cases with fatalities of coronavirus COVID-19, the daily increase for April 6 – 15.4 thousand, an increase over the previous day. The high rate of hospitalizations per day is almost 5.6 thousand. Anti-record for fatalities per day – 481.

Over the past 24hrs, coronavirus was detected in 15,415 people in Ukraine, 481 fatalities were recorded, 11,472 patients recovered, and 5,587 people were hospitalized.
Among the patients are 636 children and 437 nurses.
A record number of coronavirus patients died in Ukraine in a day. The previous highest value was set on April 2, when 433 deaths were recorded. The daily incidence rate remains high.
Most new cases were confirmed in Kyiv (1417), Odesa (1236), Kyiv (1092), Lviv (1085), and Kharkiv (1017) oblasts.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,784,579 people have fallen ill in the country, 1,373,851 have recovered, and 35,498 fatalities. 375,230 remain active patients.
Coronavirus test in Ukraine
The day before, the laboratories performed 140,224 tests for coronavirus: by PCR – 59,049, by ELISA – 23,778. They also performed 57,397 rapid tests for virus antigen.
Over 8.4 million PCR tests have been conducted in Ukraine so far.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
