The Ministry of Digital Transformation reported that the application “Home”, which is used to control the self-isolation of those who arrived in Ukraine, is currently working with “little support”, and its future is unknown.

The Ministry of Finance reported that the project was developed by the Diia Company (IT company – ed.) And was not funded additionally, except for the salaries of developers. However, the application itself is a joint product of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Center for Public Health, for which the Ministry of Finance has developed a simple software solution with which people have already interacted.
“Recently, we updated and improved it a bit. Of course, there is little support, because they continue to use it. What will happen to him after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic is unknown, so we will wait for instructions, ”the Ministry added.
It is noted that more than 800,000 Ukrainians have currently downloaded the Home application. By the way, anyone can install it and see what is interesting and useful there. Installing the Home application does not start self-isolation.
As for failures in the application, the Ministry of Finance is convinced that there are no mass problems.
“Hundreds of thousands of people have passed through the application, there have been some problems with providing photos, with geotargeting, but it was not a mass problem. Some failures depended on the version of the smartphone on which the application was installed, on the update of its operating system, “- said in response to a request.
At the same time, we should add that user reviews on Google Play and the App Store indicate that these problems occur in a fairly large number of users. Both versions of the application, according to market data, were updated in late November 2020. The score in both markets is below 1.5.
The urgency of the application is due to the approach of the tourist season. After all, despite the growing number of infected, Ukrainians are actively going abroad to rest.
