American actor Walter Olkewicz, who played several roles in the series “Twin Peaks” (1990-1991), died at the age of 72 in Los Angeles. This was reported by his son, screenwriter Zak Olkewicz, on Wednesday.

He said the actor died on the morning of April 6 at his home in Los Angeles. For the past 20 years, Olkewicz has had health problems and undergone a series of knee surgeries, in connection with which he was bedridden and forced to take a break from his career.
Walter Olkewicz is known to a wide audience for the roles of bartender Jacques Reno and owner of the bar “House by the Road” Jean-Michel Reno in the TV series David Lynch “Twin Peaks”. He made his debut in a short episode in Steven Spielberg’s “Nineteen Forty-First” (“1941”, 1979), and later starred in many series and films, including “Shorty from Miami” (Pronto, 1997), “Stewart saves his family ”(Stuart Saves His Family, 1995) and others.
