17,463 New Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine

According to the message of the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov, in Ukraine, 1.8441 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been recorded, the daily increase for April 9 – 17.4 thousand new cases, a decrease compared to the previous day. High rate of hospitalizations per day, but less than yesterday – 4.7 thousand. Fatalities per day – 398.

“17,463 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been registered in Ukraine as of April 10, 2021. In particular, 684 children and 394 medical workers fell ill, ”the minister said in a statement.

Also for the past day:

▪️ 4,709 people were hospitalized;

▪️ fatalities – 398;

▪️ recovered – 10,722 people;

▪️ 122,181 tests were performed per day (including 54,420 by PCR, 22,900 by ELISA, 44,861 tests by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2).

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:

– fell ill – 1,841,137 people;

– recovered – 1,405,826 people;

– fatalities – 36,779;

– PCR tests were performed – 8,622,424.

Vaccination in Ukraine:

19,858 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on April 9, 2021, in Ukraine.

373,002 people have been vaccinated since the beginning of the vaccination campaign.

▪️ Vaccination was provided by 143 mobile immunization teams and 867 vaccination points.

▪️ As of April 9, 2021, 435,451 people signed up for the COVID-19 vaccination waiting list.

“Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (1,605), Dnipropetrovsk (1,383), Kharkiv (1,343), Lviv (1,342), and Kyiv (1133) regions,” the minister said.

Kyiv region – 1,133 cases / 1,970 vaccinations;

Kirovohrad region – 177 cases / 700 vaccinations;

Luhansk region – 263 cases / 390 vaccinations;
