In March-April, Ukrzaliznytsia (UZ) adjusted the schedule of a number of long-distance trains, as well as planned additional flights before the summer season, the launch of which will depend on the epidemiological situation in the country.

In particular, UZ added to the train schedule №77 / 78 Kharkiv – Mariupol, №119 / 120 Lviv – Zaporizhia, №719 / 720 Kharkiv – Kyiv, and also increased the frequency of train №19 / 20 Popasna – Kyiv (on even days of the week).
At the same time, due to low demand for transportation during quarantine, Ukrzaliznytsia decided to temporarily cancel the number of flights to Western Ukraine, noting that passengers with tickets for these trains will be able to return the full cost of tickets:
from April 13 – № 29/30 Kyiv – Uzhhorod (6 cars out of 9 cars ran, the population on April 11-25 – 2%);
from April 13 – № 5/6 Uzhhorod-Kherson (6 cars out of 10 ply, the population from April 11 to 25 – less than 1%);
from April 14 – № 243/244 Kyiv-Rakhiv, (11 cars out of 18 ran, the population from April 11 to 25 – 7%).
At the same time, Ukrzaliznytsia stressed that they monitor passenger traffic on a daily basis and are ready to immediately resume flights in the event of increased demand for existing alternative routes, as well as add trains for the May holidays and summer tourist season.
The company also reminded of the availability of a wide range of alternative flights, including 15 trains a day of various classes in the Lviv direction.
However, due to economic unreasonableness from the current week changes the frequency of trains: №773 / 774 Kyiv – Shostka: three times a week (instead of 5 times a week) and №781 / 782 Kyiv – Cherkasy: three times a week 5 times a week).
How Ukrzaliznytsia works in quarantine?
On April 11, Ukrzaliznytsia resumed full-fledged long-distance trains in Transcarpathia.

On April 6, Ukrzaliznytsia, together with the National Police, began raids against “masochists” at stations and on trains.
