In general, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a bill on some issues at the end of the school year, which provides for the exemption of secondary education graduates from the compulsory passage of the final state diploma in the form of an external evaluation.

298 MPs voted in favor of the bill during the extraordinary session of the House of Representatives.
The approved law stipulates that students who have completed their general secondary education this year are exempt from passing the final state certificate through measures aimed at preventing the occurrence and spread of Coronavirus disease.
At the same time, students who have completed a full general secondary education are entitled to pass the STA, including in the form of an external assessment, at their own request.
At the same time, for expatriates who plan to enter higher education institutions, EIT will be conducted in due time according to certain test rules.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science exempted students of grades four and nine from entering school exams.
