17,479 new cases of corona virus were recorded in Ukraine last day, while 12,054 people recovered, according to Health Minister Maxim Stepanov.
Stepanov wrote: “17,479 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine on April 16, 2021. In particular, 709 children and 378 health workers contracted the disease. 12054 people recovered.”
According to the minister, 4,348 people were hospitalized last night; While the deaths – 438, and the tests a day – 109,584 (including PCR – 47421, ELISA – 19030, SARS-CoV-2 antigen rapid tests – 43133).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine, 1,921,244 people fell ill; Recovered – 1,465,820 people; And died – 39.096; 8869518 PCR tests were performed.
During the past 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases were recorded in Kiev (1609), Kharkiv (1377), Lviv (1365), Dnipropetrovsk (1332) and Odessa (1315).
According to Stepanov, 13,520 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on April 15. 432,817 people have been vaccinated since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 432,815 of them received one dose, and 5 people completed the vaccination (received two doses) (2 of them received one dose abroad). Vaccination was carried out by 138 mobile medical teams and 578 vaccination points were opened.
As of April 15, 458,153 people had registered on the COVID-19 vaccination waiting list.
