The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov announced that in Ukraine, 1.921 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day, April 15, – 17.5 thousand, the highest figure since the beginning of the week. The high rate of fatalities per day is 438. There are slightly more hospitalizations than yesterday – more than 4.3 thousand.

The daily incidence rate is kept at a very high level.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (1,609), Kharkiv (1,377), Lviv (1,365), Dnipropetrovsk (1332), and Odesa (1315) oblasts.
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine, 1,921,244 people fell ill; 1,465,820 people recovered; died – 39,096.
Coronavirus test in Ukraine
On April 15, the laboratories performed 109,584 tests for coronavirus: 47,421 by PCR and 19,030 by ELISA. They also performed 48,254 rapid tests for virus antigen.
Over 8.8 million PCR tests have been conducted in Ukraine so far.
Vaccination against coronavirus in Ukraine: what is known
A coronavirus vaccination campaign has been underway in Ukraine since February 24, 2021.
On April 15, 13,520 vaccinations against COVID-19 were performed in Ukraine. A total of 432,817 people have been vaccinated since the start of the vaccination campaign. The largest number of vaccinations per day was carried out in Kyiv (1,770 vaccinations) and Lviv region – 2,650 vaccinations.
As of April 15, 2021, 458,153 people had signed up for the COVID-19 vaccination waiting list.
Vaccination was performed by 138 mobile immunization teams and 578 vaccination points.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
