1.936 Million Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine

In Ukraine, 1.936 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day, April 17, – 14.9 thousand, which is more than the day before. This was reported by the data of the system for monitoring the spread of the coronavirus epidemic on an electronic map created by the Main Situation Center of Ukraine in the Office of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

Thus, out of 1,936,228 patients with COVID-19 in Ukraine, 14,984 infected people were found in the last 24 hours, which is more than the day before. A total of 39,096 people have died as a result of the disease in the country to date. 1,465,820 people have already recovered from the disease. In particular, 606 children and 276 health workers fell ill. Today there are 431,312 active patients.

Also for yesterday:

4,100 people were hospitalized;

fatalities – 440;

recovered – 9,736 people;

tests were performed per day – 105,215 (including PCR – 45,875, ELISA – 20,127, rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 39,213).

Leading regions in terms of daily increase in COVID-19 cases : Kyiv ( 1,112 ), Kharkiv region (1,386), Odessa region (1,097).

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.

Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Then it was repeatedly continued and transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine in the summer.
