A US court has sentenced Ukrainian citizen Fedor Gladyr to ten years in prison for cyber attacks on American companies. This is stated on the website of the US Department of Justice.

Members of a hacker group commonly known as FIN7 (also known as the Carbanak Group and Navigator Group, among others) have been involved in an extremely complex malware targeting more than 100 US companies, mostly in restaurants, games and hospitality.
FIN7 hacked thousands of computer systems and stole millions of customers’ credit and debit card numbers, as well as private and non-public information that the group used or sold for profit.
In the United States alone, FIN7 has successfully breached companies’ computer networks in 49 states and the District of Columbia, stealing more than 15 million customer card records from more than 6,500 individual point-of-sale terminals in more than 3,600 individual business locations.
Ukrainians, in particular, Fyodor Gladyr, as well as Dmytro Fedorov and Andriy Kopakov, were convicted.
Police in Katowice, Poland, detained 19 hackers from Belarus and Ukraine who, according to investigators, managed to deceive several hundred people.
