Jamachik, who is currently acting as acting foreign minister temporarily, said that he summoned the Russian ambassador Zmiyevsky and informed him that he “decided to expel all employees of the Russian embassy in Prague who were clearly identified by the Russian intelligence services as officers of the Russian special intelligence of the Russian special forces and Russian special forces.”
“Within 38 hours, 18 employees of the Russian embassy should leave the territory of the Czech Republic,” Jamaica said, admitting that this would lead to a further deterioration in the Czech-Russian relations.
The deputy prime minister also explained why he did not pay his visit to Moscow, which will start next Monday.
“The Czech Republic is a legal country and must respond according to the approved rules,” Babis added.
Babis praised the work of the Czech special services.
In total, approximately 130 diplomats are currently working at the Russian Embassy at CR.
