In Ukraine, there have already been 1.974 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19, an increase over the day, April 20, – 12 thousand, the most since the beginning of the week. Fatalities per day – 429. At the same time, more people recovered for the second day in a row than patients. This was reported by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

Over the past 24hrs, coronavirus was detected in 12,162 people in Ukraine, 429 deaths were recorded, and 14,720 patients recovered. 4,411 people were admitted to hospitals with suspected or diagnosed COVID-19. Among the new patients are 532 children and 326 nurses.
The daily incidence rate remains high, but the number of those who recovered in a day, the second day in a row exceeds the number of patients. At the same time, the death rate and the number of hospitalized people increased again.
Most new cases were recorded in Kyiv (965), Kharkiv (938), Kyiv (881), Zaporizhia (845), and Dnipropetrovsk (771) oblasts.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have detected 1,974,118 cases of COVID-19, of which 1,514,472 people have recovered and 40,796 have died from complications.
Coronavirus test in Ukraine:
On April 20, the laboratories performed 109,007 tests for coronavirus: 46,746 by PCR and 17,235 by ELISA. They also performed 45,026 rapid tests for virus antigen.
Over 9 million PCR tests have been conducted in Ukraine so far.
Vaccination against coronavirus in Ukraine:
Over the past 24hrs, 15,042 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19. A total of 477,831 people received the first dose of the drug and five completed vaccination.
