With the advent of the coronavirus pandemic, solitary outdoor recreation has become increasingly popular in order to limit contact with strangers as much as possible and at the same time to rely to a minimum on quarantine restrictions.

Skoll city in the Lviv region. Here, albeit not the most developed tourist infrastructure, it is about the picturesque nature and all the opportunities for active recreation in the Skolliff Beskids National Park.
During my life, I have been able to visit Skoll twice – a few years ago in late August and this winter in the midst of a pandemic. Both times I was looking for solitude and peace close to the nature of the Carpathians, and in the end, I felt contented. So much so that I would like to go back there again.
When I was in school for the first time, I immediately noticed that the city almost lacked a developed tourist infrastructure. She also joked that there is nowhere to buy even a magnet. It seems that there was almost no tourist here at all, and many of my acquaintances did not know much about this area. However, it was later corrected that the city still enjoys a certain popularity among residents of Lviv and the region, who often “runaway” here for the weekend or holidays.
In general, I get the impression that the residents of Skolle are not particularly enthusiastic about making their city the most popular tourist resort, yes, they are creating certain opportunities for entertainment, but they are accepting tourists in their homes instead as extra income. But at the same time, the city does not look deserted, the townspeople seem to arrange for themselves so that they are comfortable here.
However, I am not a fan of such a direct tourist vacation, I prefer to live at least a few days in other circumstances. For me, Skole is an ideal place where existentialist writers can sit back in search of inspiration, closer to nature and the charm of country life (of course, when you don’t even have to care about family). If you are also looking for a vacation like this, then Skull is sure to like you.
Where to stay in School
When I was going to Skole for the first time, there were some nuances in looking for a place to stay – at that time I only found one accommodation option in the ‘reservation’, while most locals preferred to rent ‘old-fashioned’ accommodation with a sign on the wall. There are free rooms ”. Today, the situation has improved, and in the popular online housing search services, you can find about 20 accommodation options in Skoll at a price of 350 hryvnias/night for a double room. It is often private estate or apartments, but there are also two hotels and individual cottages.

How to get to Skole
The school was really lucky with its geographical location and transportation lines. The fact is that one of the largest highways in Ukraine passes through the city – the E471 international highway, which connects Lviv and Mukachevo, through which you can reach several checkpoints on the borders with Hungary and Slovakia. Therefore, in pre-coronavirus times, when Ukrainian tourists could travel freely to Europe, many stayed at Skoll for a night or even a few days to rest from the road. And for those who are arranging a small tour of Ukraine.
