The Number of Coronavirus Patients Jumps in a Day

In Ukraine, the number of cases jumps to 1.99 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19, an increase over the day, April 21 – 16.2 thousand, the most since the beginning of the week. There were 470 deaths per day. At the same time, there were more people who recovered for the third day in a row than patients. This was reported by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

In Ukraine, 16,235 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease were detected per day. In particular, 663 children and 319 health workers fell ill.

It is reported that 3,904 people were hospitalized during the day; 5,250 people were discharged from hospitals; 470 deaths were recorded; 18,831 people recovered. In addition, tests were performed per day – 101,981 (including PCR – 46,516, ELISA – 17,644); studies by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 37 821.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:

fell ill jumps to- 1,990,353 people;

recovered jumps to- 1,533,303 people;

fatalities jumps to- 41,266;

PCR tests were performed – 9,089,301.

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (1,673), Kharkiv (1,333), Zaporizhia (995), Dnipropetrovsk (976), and Kyiv (887) oblasts.

In particular, 663 children and 319 medical workers fell ill last day.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
