Twitter has begun testing a new business profile that allows owners to display more information that potential customers can see.

A Twitter Business account has announced the launch of Professional Profiles and posted a photo showing what it will look like. It still displays the owner’s website and their next number/subscription number, but now it also has an “About” section, which is somewhat similar to Facebook.

The social network moved the information about the address of the enterprises to the section “About the program”, which also contains a map and work schedule. At the bottom, potential customers can click a button to get directions to the location of the establishment, and another button to contact the owners directly via Twitter.
The company says the new type of profile will allow companies, nonprofits, publishers, creators, and everyone else who uses Twitter to work to display the specific information they want customers to see. This can help people make it easier to find local establishments to visit and therefore help small shops rebuild the business they may have lost during the pandemic.
Twitter has begun testing professional profiles with a small pool of business owners in the United States, but in the coming months, it will expand access to this feature for more accounts.
