You can often see this picture: we plant the seedlings in sunny weather, it falls under strong ultraviolet light, and – the plants simply burn due to excess ultraviolet and infrared radiation. It takes too much time to recover and as a result, we do not get enough in the splendor of flowering, we do not get enough in the harvest.

How exactly to help plants in this very difficult period, when they have not yet adapted to aggressive solar radiation? The simplest method: gradually accustom the seedlings to the sun, taking it outside for 15-30-60 minutes a day until it gets used to the sun.
An interesting observation: if the plant is slightly bitten by frost, it will recover much faster than after sunburn.
We usually grow seedlings either in greenhouses or by the window. And the glass does not transmit ultraviolet rays. And if we immediately plant such reduced seedlings in the open ground in the bright sun, the ultraviolet will burn chlorophyll and the leaves will fade. And in order for the leaves to turn green again and the plant to begin to develop normally, it will take a long time.
Plants are able to synthesize substances that protect them from excess ultraviolet and infrared radiation. These substances are called flavonoids. When a plant grows under glass, it does not need to be protected from ultraviolet light. Therefore, it does not synthesize flavonoids. However, when you take the plant outside, it gradually begins to learn to protect itself from ultraviolet light. But – gradually.
How exactly to protect your seedlings grown in greenhouses or indoor conditions, without burdening yourself with the transfer of boxes for hardening? You can cover the plants from the sun, for example, “balls” from newspapers, or throw a thin spunbond on the plantings.
But there is an even simpler and more modern way – treatment of plants by special means. These tools create a film on the surface of the leaf, which does not allow a lot of moisture to evaporate and reflects ultraviolet and infrared rays. The drug is called Purshat-A. This drug is designed specifically to be used on vegetative plants so that they do not get sunburn due to ultraviolet light and do not overheat from infrared rays. In addition, the drug contains a special additive that prevents the plant from evaporating too much moisture.
In general, this drug is designed to facilitate our work at a time when we need to accustom the seedlings to the open air. Sprayed according to the instructions – and the plant can be left outside.
