Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – April 26, 2021 – Education
The relevant decision was taken by the members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Education, Science, and Innovation.
According to the drafters of the bill, at present, and according to the current legislation, the properties of the schools that have been liquidated can only be used to provide education and services in the field of social protection, culture, and health care.
At the same time, the drafters of the bill assert that while maintaining such an approach to the use of property in rural areas, there is a significant risk that liquidated school property will not be used or destroyed.
The purpose of the proposed bill is to legislate the possibility for the OTG to effectively dispose of liquidated school property located in rural areas.
In addition, the drafters of the bill noted that currently in Ukraine there are 365 real estate complexes of liquidated community educational institutions in rural areas in Ukraine on the balance of local governments.
It is proposed to allocate funds from the rent of the schools that have been liquidated to meet educational needs exclusively.
