In Ukraine, 2.038 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day, April 26, – 7915 thousand, which is more than the day before. The high rate of fatalities per day is 432. At the same time, more than twice as many recovered per day as patients. This was reported by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

“7915 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine as of April 27, 2021,” Stepanov said.
Also for the past day:
hospitalized – 1,650 people;
fatalities – 432;
recovered – 17,391 people;
tests were performed per day – 72,239 (including PCR – 35,761, ELISA – 15,133, rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 21,345).
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 2,038,248 people;
recovered – 1,596,829 people;
fatalities – 42,950;
PCR tests were performed – 9,292,051.

In particular, 336 children and 202 health workers fell ill last day.
Over the past 24hrs, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (869), Poltava (651), Donetsk (588), Odesa (580), and Zaporizhia (552) oblasts.
At the same time, 11,100 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine over the past 24 hours. Vaccination was performed by 217 mobile immunization teams and 295 vaccination points.
A total of 539,126 people have been vaccinated since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 539,124 of them received 1 dose, 9 people completed the vaccination (received 2 doses) (2 of them received 1 dose abroad). As of April 26, 2021, 495,569 people had signed up for the COVID-19 vaccination waiting list.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Consequently, it was repeatedly continued and transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine in the summer.
From January 8 to 24, Ukraine was subject to strict quarantine. It was administered to “bring down” the incidence of COVID-19. The head of the Ministry of Health Stepanov noted that the main effect of the January “lockdown” was achieved.
