Georgian actor Kakhi Kavsadze, famous for his role as Abdullah in The White Sun of the Desert, has died in Tbilisi at the age of 86.

Health problems in Kavsadze
Kavsadze was taken to the clinic in late November 2020 due to acute respiratory failure. He was also on artificial lung ventilation.
Doctors then reported that the actor had been cured of the coronavirus. But in February, Kavsadze was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia. Doctors fought for his life for two months.
Who is Kakhi Kavsadze?
Kavsadze is a leading actor at the Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi Academic Theater. He has many theatrical productions, more than 80 films.
Kavsadze is widely known outside of Georgia, and his fame brought him a role in the film “White Desert Sun.”
Also in his track record are roles in the films “Melodies of the Veri Quarter”, “Tree of Desire”, “Life of Don Quixote and Sancho”.
