It is not necessary to use milk to make Easter cakes, because if you have whey left, it will also be perfect. Easter cakes according to this recipe are tender and airy.

Ingredients:
eggs (yolk) – 5 pcs.
dry yeast – 11 g
sugar – 150 g
butter – 150 g
whey – 250 g
flour – 600 g
raisins – 70 g
Preparation:
- For Easter cakes according to this recipe, we only need the yolks, so separate them from the proteins and beat with a whisk. Add the yeast to the yolks, mix the warm whey with a whisk and leave for 15 minutes in a warm place.
- Add melted butter, sugar to the yeast with the yolks and mix well.
- Add the sifted flour through the sieve to the egg mixture in portions and mix well. When the dough is firm, transfer it to the table and knead it with your hands.
- In parallel between the dough, prepare the dried fruit you want to add. To do this, fill them with hot water for a few minutes, discard them in a colander, and then refill with some sweet and fragrant alcoholic beverage, for example, it may be rum.
- Now back to the dough. When you have kneaded it, spread a little on the table, and on top pour the prepared dried fruit, pre-throwing them in a colander, and mix them into the dough.
- Make a ball out of your dough and place it in a deep bowl. Cover it with cling film and a towel. Put to fit for 1-1.5 hours in a warm place. This may be a switched-off oven that you have preheated a little.
- When the dough is ready, hug it, divide by the number of forms you use. Forms must be completed by 1/3.
- Cover the dough in the molds with cling film and leave to rise for 30-40 minutes.
- Bake the cakes at 180 degrees for about 30-40 minutes. If the Easter cakes suddenly start to burn in your oven, cover them with foil on top.
