Every year, gardeners have a logical question, but when is the best time to plant seedlings in a greenhouse and open ground, so as not to lose plants, and at the same time not to procrastinate with this matter? There is a piece of universal advice for all regions, which can be used annually.
Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – May 1, 2021 – Agriculture
First of all, you can plant in a greenhouse when the temperature at night (!) Is set at 10 degrees. To further secure the young seedlings, you can make your own mini-greenhouse in the greenhouse: install two parallel arches of plastic pipes.
Stretch spunbond on top, secure with holders (complete with pipe). In such mini-greenhouse seedlings will feel comfortable, even if the temperature at night suddenly drops slightly below 10 degrees.
As for planting in open ground, then focus on the following indicator – for 5-7 days the temperature at night should be kept at least 12 degrees. In this case, the ground will heat up evenly, and the seedlings will feel comfortable. Do not focus on a specific recommended date for planting seedlings, because the weather in different regions is very different, and even every year in the same city, the range can vary greatly. Focus on the temperature at night, because it is because of the night frosts sometimes part of the seedlings disappears.
