2.083 Million Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine

In Ukraine, 2.083 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have been recorded, an increase per day, May 1, – almost 5.1 thousand, which is less than the day before. There are more people who have recovered in a day than patients. This was reported by the Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

As of the morning of May 2, 2,083,180 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Ukraine. During the past 24hrs, 5094 new cases have been identified, 219 children and 81 health workers have fallen ill.

According to him, 3,199 people were hospitalized, 5,784 patients recovered. 160 deaths were recorded.

43,405 tests were performed per day. Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Dnipropetrovsk (804), Donetsk (418), Kharkiv (344), Odesa (296), and Cherkasy (273) oblasts.

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine, 44,596 deaths were detected, 1,676,265 people recovered.

Kyiv region – 255 cases / 156 vaccinations;

Kirovohrad region – 131 cases / 0 vaccinations;

Luhansk region – 37 cases / 0 vaccinations;

Lviv region – 203 cases / 20 vaccinations;

Mykolaiv region – 232 cases / 425 vaccinations;

Odessa region – 296 cases / 287 vaccinations;

Poltava region – 127 cases / 20 vaccinations;
