Wages in education have grown by 28.8% over the past year, which is one of the highest growth rates among other areas of economic activity.

This was reported in the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, citing data from the State Statistics Service.
In particular, the Ministry of Economy notes that the average nominal wage in Ukraine in March 2021 increased to UAH 13,612, which is UAH 1,063 more than in February.
At the same time, compared to March last year, the average nominal salary increased by 18.9%.
According to the State Statistics Service, wage growth compared to March 2020 occurred in almost all types of economic activity (except for the provision of other services).
“Wages grew the fastest in health care and social assistance (by 52.0%), temporary accommodation and catering (by 37.2%), arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation (by 33.8% ), education (by 28.8%), real estate transactions (by 22.2%), wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (by 20.4%) “, – emphasized in the Ministry of Economic Development.
Also in March, the average wage rose in all regions.
“The largest growth compared to March last year occurred in Chernivtsi (31.1%), Donetsk (30.1%), Ternopil (26.9%), Rivne (26.3%), Kherson (26.2%), Volyn (25.9%) oblasts, ”the statement reads.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the main drivers of wage growth were the adaptation of economic activities to the conditions and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as raising the minimum wage from January 1, 2021, to UAH 6,000.
The highest level of the average salary in March was recorded in Kyiv (UAH 20,132), Donetsk (UAH 15,907), Zaporizhia (UAH 13,721), Dnipropetrovsk (UAH 13,677) oblasts, and the lowest in Zhytomyr oblast (UAH 10,675).
The highest salaries were received by employees in the field of information and telecommunications – UAH 25,504, financial and insurance activities – UAH 24,279, professional, scientific, and technical activities (UAH 18,768).
