In Ukraine, 2.097 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase of 6 thousand per day on May 5, which is more than twice as many as the day before. Fatalities per day – 374. This was reported by the Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

“6,038 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of May 6, 2021,” Stepanov said.
Also for the past day:
hospitalized – 1,849 people;
fatalities – 374;
recovered – 14,351 people;
performed tests per day – 72 373 (including PCR – 36 945, ELISA – 12 460, studies by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 22 968).
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 2,097,024 people;
recovered – 1,711,709 people;
fatalities – 45,451;
PCR tests were performed – 9,555,109.
In particular, 271 children and 113 medical workers fell ill last night.
Over the past 24hrs, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (622), Donetsk (599), Kharkiv (544), Dnipropetrovsk (543), and Rivne (403) oblasts.
At the same time, 24,494 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine over the past 24 hours. Vaccination was carried out by 169 mobile immunization teams and 1,147 vaccination points.
A total of 783,812 people have been vaccinated since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, of which 1 dose was received – 783,810 people, completed vaccination (received 2 doses) – 419 people (including 2 people who received 1 dose abroad). As of May 5, 2021, 519,165 people signed up for the COVID-19 vaccination waiting list.
