The Number of New Cases and Deaths of COVID-19 Increased in Ukraine

In Ukraine, 2.105 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase of 8.4 thousand per day, on May 6, which is a third more than the day before. Fatalities per day at the level of the previous day – 379. Compared with the day before, the number of hospitalized increased to 3 thousand. This was reported by the Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

Over the past 24hrs, 8,404 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Ukraine. Another 379 patients died, 19,453 recovered. 3,080 people with suspected or confirmed cases were hospitalized.

According to him, among the new patients – 353 children and 185 nurses.

Note that today there are more than 2,000 new cases more than reported yesterday.

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kharkiv (991), Dnipropetrovsk (622), Kyiv (611), Donetsk (571), and Zaporizhia (494) oblasts.

In Ukraine, 2,105,428 cases of coronavirus, 1,731,162 recoveries, and 45,830 deaths have been detected during the entire pandemic. 328,436 Ukrainians remain active patients.

According to the National Security and Defense Council, Ukraine ranks 16th in the world in the number of detected cases and 18th in the number of deaths from coronavirus.
