The dialogue between Ukraine and the United States today is at a very high level, it is meaningful and extremely constructive. This was stated by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, summing up the meeting of President Volodymyr Zelensky with the Secretary of State of the United States Anthony Blinken in Kyiv.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and members of the US delegation assured that Ukraine was and is a strategic and very important partner and ally of the United States. In addition, according to Yermak, the issue of a possible meeting between the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States was discussed today.
“I can say that there is no specific date for the meeting of Volodymyr Zelensky and Joe Biden yet, but there is reason to believe that this meeting will take place soon, as there is a high level of interest – both from the Ukrainian President and we have heard from the Secretary of State. President Biden” said the head of the Office of the Head of State.
He reminded me that in 2021 Ukraine will celebrate the 30th anniversary of independence. “Therefore, there is great hope to see President Biden in Ukraine this year,” said Andriy Yermak.
The Head of the Office of the Head of State also added that the format of the meetings that Anthony Blinken had in Ukraine confirms that relations between our states are being built at different levels.
The US Secretary of State arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday, May 5, after 11 p.m. Together with the head of the US State Department, Kyiv will be visited by his Deputy for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, well known in Ukraine.
On the morning of May 6, Blinken had already met with MPs and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. Reforms and military cooperation were also discussed.
Then the US Secretary of State laid flowers at the wall of memory of those who died for Ukraine and met with Metropolitan Epiphanius. After that, they visited St. Michael’s Cathedral together. During this meeting, special attention was paid to the formation of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the importance of removing artificial obstacles to the free, based on the principles of freedom of conscience, community determination of their affiliation.
Blinken’s meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky lasted about an hour. Zelensky extended an invitation to his American counterpart, Joe Biden, to visit Ukraine this year.
