An international coronavirus vaccination certificate can only be issued to those who have been vaccinated with a drug approved by the World Health Organization.

According to him, international COVID-certificates will be issued in accordance with the requirements of national legislation or international agreements. Lyashko notes that in accordance with international rules, such a document allows crossing the border if a country requires vaccination.
“The rules for drawing up this certificate are defined in the international health regulations and can be issued if a person has received a full set of vaccinations with a vaccine that is approved for use by the WHO,” said Lyashko.
He noted that due to the global shortage of vaccines and limited access to them, countries are discussing digital certificates, which will contain not only data on vaccination but also information on the presence of antibodies or a negative COVID test.
“It (digital certificate – ed.) It will allow you to travel, ie freely cross the borders of countries. – Lyashko told.
The chief sanitary doctor added that during May the Ministry of Health will work out options for the benefits of COVID-certificate holders in Ukraine.
Vaccination passports:
On March 17, the European Commission presented a draft digital “green certificate” that will promote the safe free movement of European Union citizens within the EU.
Digital passports of coronavirus vaccination are planned to be introduced in the European Union by June this year.
At the same time, the World Health Organization opposes travel on vaccination certificates from COVID-19.
On April 29, the European Parliament adopted its negotiating position on COVID certificates confirming vaccination, immunity, or a negative coronavirus test.
